Top 10 Flea Markets in the UK

In the UK, flea markets and yard sales are very popular. Usually, there are a lot of tiny stalls selling vintage goods, used goods, clothing, and accessories.

Due to a love of both the environment and antiques, the UK has the largest antique market in all of Europe and hosts numerous antique fairs and flea markets. In the UK, people don't just throw away their used items; they also enjoy shopping at flea markets for antiques.

1. London - Portobello Road Market

Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill, London, is the world's largest antique market and the largest and finest flea market in the UK. Portobello Road Market was also the setting for the film Notting Hill and has become world famous as an internet bazaar as a result of the film's instant popularity and the number of tourists it attracts! It is full of antique shops, vintage shops, second-hand jewellery and homeware shops with a wide range of everything.

Although the shops on Portobello Road are open from Monday to Saturday, the main antique market is usually concentrated on Friday and Saturday. And every Saturday there is an open-air flea market on the road, selling a variety of small handicrafts, clothing and some retail groceries. There are also plenty of delicious open-air food stalls along the streets to hit!

2. London - Hackney Flea Market

The Hackney Flea Market, which opened in 2013, is a bigger flea market that is located in London. When compared to outdoor open-air flea markets, this one's shopping experience is superior because the majority of the stalls are indoors.

And the Hackney Flea Market is famous for its distinctive ceramic products and crafts made by local artisans! The market also has many stalls of artists, painters and sculptors. Highly recommended if you're planning to buy some crafts for your home decor!

3. London - Camden Passage

The Camden Passage in London is an open-air flea market, a street full of antique shops, cafes and many restaurants and independent shops. The street is located off Upper Street in Islington. The street hosts an open-air antique fair every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

The second-hand book market is held every Thursday and Friday and is full of art and culture. Stop by for an afternoon of antiquing, book hunting or a cup of coffee and sunshine in the street shops.

4. Sheffield - The Kelham Flea

One of the most traditional flea markets in the UK, The Kelham Flea in Sheffield is located in Neepsend Lane, Sheffield and is usually open from 10:30 to 4:30 pm every Wednesday to Sunday. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. It is Sheffield's largest flea market, full of a wide variety of antique arts and crafts, and is a treasure trove of Sheffield bargain hunting.

5. Sussex - Lewes Flea Market

Popular with local antique collectors, Lewes Flea Market in Sussex is a converted church flea market. If you're looking for antiques, fine second-hand Victorian homes and tableware items, this is the place to come and browse! It attracts thousands of shoppers every week and is a popular place to buy.

Cambridge's All Saints Garden Art & Craft Market is the largest flea market in Cambridge. The area is full of food stalls, jewellery and handmade art, and antique furniture. It's near Cambridge University, so if you're travelling to Cambridge, stop by this flea market and pick up some designer jewellery handmade by local artists!

8. Brighton - Brighton Flea Market

10. Near Manchester - Ashton Market Hall

Ashton Underline, near Manchester, has the largest flea market in the area. The Ashton market normally sells seasonal fruit and vegetables, crafts, clothing and pet supplies. On Tuesdays an open-air flea market is set up outside and many sellers set up stalls selling second-hand items and groceries.
