The title of the exhibition is also interesting: 'Bigger and Closer (rather than Smaller and Farther)', and the format of the exhibition is indeed true to its name, as the paintings are presented in an overwhelming manner, allowing the viewer to walk right into the paintings rather than admire the small ones from a distance.

Yayoi Kusama, the name is the magic sound for densely-phobic people. The overwhelming polka dots are her most unforgettable feature, polka dot pumpkins, polka dot flowers, polka dot rooms ...... as if all her works are made of polka dots. In fact, no, this time Yayoi Kusama brings to London an exhibition of her classic 'House of Infinite Mirrors', a dark mirrored space hung with ornate crystal lamps, a world of light constructed from different beams of light, with arresting beauty. But she didn't forget to use light to give the effect of a house full of polka dots either

3. Mike Nelson: Extinction Beckons

Address: Hayward Gallery, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Rd, London SE1 8XX

Dates: 22/02-07/05

Ticket Price: Weekdays £15, weekends £16

Mike Nelson presents a variety of apocalyptic scenarios in a unique installation exhibition, where the artist collects objects from thrift shops, flea market junkyards and other places to create a detailed scene, where cold metal is constructed into a breathtakingly massive look and the objects reveal the old meaning of time, like a very quiet science fiction film.

When we think of Impressionist paintings, we think of male painters such as Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin and Degas, but there were also many outstanding female painters in the school. The French painter Berthe Morisot is a pioneer of the Impressionist style and is also known as the best female Impressionist painter. In collaboration with the Monet Museum in Paris, the Dulwich Picture Gallery has organised the first major exhibition of Berthe Morisot in the UK, bringing together around 30 paintings by the artist.
